Indian Diaspora in Coffee Table Books

Coffee Table Books are the talk of the year. Something latest! Trendy, these books can be found covering almost all the genres and versatile topics. But few books are found on the diaspora… the Indian diaspora!
Indians are the descendants of the most ancient civilisation with the greatest and oldest history. People from across the world have come here and people from this land have travelled miles, going far away from their land of birth—their motherland. What they have taken along with them are values, practices and uniqueness. Such is the Indian diaspora—wide and acclaimed. To add to this treasure of people can be books, rather coffee table books, on Indian diaspora.

Today, people of Indian origin can be easily found everywhere from the under-developing country to the most developed, south of the globe to the north, deepest into the seas to the top of the greatest mountains. Tenzing Norgay, who reached the highest peak in the world, Ashoka, who spread Buddhism all around the world, Mahatma Gandhi, who had shaken the foundation of the world, Sunita Williams, the one who walked in space—Indians have made their mark even outside the globe.

Many books have been writing on such people but never did anyone connect such achievers of Indian origin with the trend.

They all may be on different time zones, with their ancestors being separated in history. Nationalities certainly have changed and the support may be for different cricket teams. But our common heritage makes sure we remain connected in hearts and minds. They, certainly, deserve to remain connected with a bond—bond of origin! It was Jaipur based Maneesh Media, a media house, publishing books of inspiration to change the world, which first came up with a coffee table book of motivational figures of the Indian diaspora. Books like Dubai 2007 Indian Achievers, Jewels of India, Jewels of Gujarat, and many more editions of the Jewels series by the house prove the Indian diaspora is the best in the world.

As biographies have always had a vital impact on its readers, such coffee table books decorated with pictures and real-life stories can actually bring a change in the society, certainly changing the world one day. And then shall be changed the history of the Indian diaspora, something that has been missed for a long time.
