Read Books to Change Your Life for Good

Of all the habits I had during childhood, I learnt on growing that reading books was the best. I remember so well that my father presented me with Harry Potter books. Harry Potter was my first love and not only he but books ruled my heart. All this changed when I read Adolf Hitler's autobiography, Mein Kampf . I found it to be an extremely motivational story , no matter what he brought the world to in the mid-twentieth century; he was a man of clear vision. Were there any other than he and Charlie Chaplin who ruled the world then? As I read more and more, I realised that the more you read a motivational true story of any person, you are charged up with optimism. Everything in the world seems easy and it feels as if you are nothing less than a king. In my case, I was a queen though! I ended up writing blogs about the people I read and review the books I enjoyed. For a school student, it was not bad when I read the comments of people that there were a lot of people w

Dream of a Budding Writer

Dear Diary! They say books are your best friends. Perhaps that is why I have few human friends, because I love reading books. When I was a five-year-old, I remember papa gifted me a Barbie doll; along with it was a tiny book – with other Barbie dolls. That was my first book, the one I still have. From there began my friendship with dear books. My colleagues at school often tease me that though grown up I am so crazy about dolls and books on them. Hardly does anyone know I have a secret love for romance books too. The Fault in Our Stars is my favourite. I imagine myself as a 16-year-old Hazel and wonder if ever my Augustus will come. Neither at school nor at college is anyone who sees me that way. I feel sad and try to move on – same as the protagonists in my reads. I wish I could in fact write a book someday. If not in real, maybe how I imagine my Prince Charming can be a story. I have heard book publishing world has gone rather easy, though I wonder if I could only get

From Libraries to Ebooks: The Future

Some years ago when reading technology was still being upgraded, new devices were being launched for the book lovers who found it tough to carry 5-6 books at a time, I read somewhere, “ Get free Ebooks .”, Wait! What? Free? What could have been better! I too thought it to be the time to try the Kindle reading device, after all, who doesn’t like a few extra bucks saved? The changes the world has witnessed in the last 200 years have been vital in the field of technology. It so happened when the people around the world met each other and exchanged cultures. With these exchanged ideas have come exceptional inventions – and these inventions are no doubt from the read people from around the world. When we say ‘read’, it means most of these celebrated geniuses are well-read. Get Your Personalised Book – Become a Hero to Many!

In 1581, the idea of a coffee table book was first mentioned in an essay. Years later, in the 1950s came the first book into existence, a hardbound book with a lot of pictures and just a handful of text. Since electronic gadgets have come into play, books are losing their charm with time. People today are too busy with their fast-paced life; they have little time to read, so lately, personalised books have gained a prominent position in the book industry. These books serve multiple purposes, to be used as a photo album or a traditional textbook. For the same reason, such books are loved by most of the people, pictures speak more than the text. Countless art books have been published worldwide on various subjects – on art, cultures, dance, jewellery, cuisine, wildlife, places, people – but not many are dedicated to successful and enterprising families. But recently many people have started getting books personalised on them. These are the books for personalised stories are b

While most of the countries have only national, seasonal or cultural festivals, India has one to celebrate the bond of brothers and sisters also – Raksha Bandhan ! This age old festival is a tradition in India in which a sister ties a thread of love on her brother's wrist and in return the brother promises his sister love and projection. There are many mythological and history-related stories behind it, and has been since then been followed. Every year, millions of sisters tie a thread of love, rakhi, on their brothers' wrists to seek protection. While protection was all the sisters once expected, with changing times the festival too has gone under transformation. Markets, stalls, residences and temples built along the main streets have uniform facades. Somewhere in these bylanes are the hidden gems: book publishers . The city's urban planning shows an exchange of ideas from ancient Hindu and modern Mughal as well as

The best way to express yourself is through an autobiography . Great people express themselves in words and those words become greatest inspiration for the world.
