The Insightful Books on War

What the world needs in this 21st century but peace! It needs the peace of mind and the heart, though there are some who seek war. While almost the entire world wants to live happily in harmony and brotherhood, out of the blue come a few countries that neither are happy themselves nor like seeing their neighbours happy.

If you are an art lover, look for the movies on war and you will learn a lot. Not only the whys and hows of wars but also how-not-to. Two countries engage in war over few selfish political tactics and thousands and lakhs of lives end up being at stake. A lot of documentaries have been made and innumerable books have been written on the subject. You can easily find books for reading in any of the public libraries. The best books to read ever on war are The Art of War, The Campaigns of Alexander, The Book of Five Rings and many more. Also interesting was a blog on a war-veteran, Purshotam Lal Nayyar, who had shared how after his retirement he misses his days in the Indian Army.

But what is bad is that I could not find any best coffee table books 2019 on war. There are many coffee table books on animals, plants, cars, personalised books but not on war. Maybe publishers don't find it interesting to make a coffee table book on this subject, though I think it is a concept different and interesting.

People have written how wars have been won and why they took place; now is the time we come up with books teaching the world how and why should wars be avoided.
