Books on Successful Global Indians

India is a land of great people. From great scientists to freedom fighters to scholars to sport stars to leaders, we have them all in abundance. Along with being an Indian, they have become global personalities of prominence now. All these legends have lived in the folktales and books. Many of us still remember the Amar Chitra Katha. And who can ever forget the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, the biggest examples! If you look for the best coffee table books anywhere, you will find many on the Indian legends.

While earlier there were the characters like Shiva, Rama, Sita, Ravana, Krishna or Arjuna, some later years had Swami Vivekanand, Gandhi, Bose, and now the heroes in the books are Kalam, Modi, SRK, Tata, Tendulkar, etc. Yet, there are some heroes whom no one has recognised till date.

Millions of books have been written on these great personalities. One of the self-publishers, Maneesh Media, in fact, releases coffee table books on an average annually on successful Indians and Indian diaspora. It recently released a book on inspirational Gujaratis and now is working on inspirational Punjabi figures. The publication house is also working on prominent Indians responsible for the growth of the African continent in the last 200 years. The book will be called Jewels of India and will be released at the beginning of 2020 in the capital of Kenya.

With time passing by, now the question that arises is if these books will continue to mark their presence in the time of social media and ebooks. Although the source of teaching in schools mostly is printed books, we are yet to see what the future holds.
