Books that inspire
So well said the Nobel laureate Ernest Hemingway that
there is no friend as loyal as a book. Books are those good friends that not
only are loyal but also inspire you to become a better person. Reading books
increases your vocabulary, command over the language, improves thinking power
and gives you enormous ideas and emotions. It is so that the publishing
industry has taken a big shift in the last decade.
While fiction ruled the literary world earlier,
recently writers and publishers have shown interest in publishing inspirational
books for readers. Be it America, Europe, Asia or Africa, inspiring
books are being published all over the world much more than before.
Like the rest of the world, India too has seen a big change in
the publishing industry. A lot of biographies and autobiographies are being
published to inspire people. Good is that many of these books are being adapted
into movies to reach to a wider audience, which further increases the reach of
such inspirational books. Calling Sehmat to Raazi and Accidental
Prime Minister by the same name are few of the many recent examples of inspiring
books.
Few authors like Rashmi Bansal and Robin Sharma write books on people from various walks of life who have inspired the world. The stories of these people not only inspire many more but give wings to them to fly, especially the youth of our nation. Publishers like New York & Jaipur based Maneesh Media have also taken the front to come up with inspirational books to motivate the youth. This publishing house, in fact, recently started their newsletter in which they have featured two personalities of tomorrow, AananyaSinghvi, an impeccable dancer, and Suchita Vashisht, an emerging sports star.
