Indian American Bela Bajaria Climbs to International Non-English TV Originals for Netflix

Love Hollywood? Love Netflix?

Here's an Indian who brings it closer to you.

The VP of Netflix, Bela Bajaria, an Indian American, will now lead international non-English TV originals too! She reportedly will supervise both scripted and non-scripted in all international markets except Asia, though including India. She will continue as the Vice President (Content).

Bajaria is Rekha Bajaria's daughter, the lady who was recently honoured with the Jewels of Gujarat award in Ahmedabad amid several eminent Gujaratis from all corners of the world at an exclusive show hosted and organised by Maneesh Media, the leading coffee table book publisher in India. Bajaria probably draws her inspiration from her mother, who from a aspirational young lady turned to devoted home-maker and mother to a dedicated work support to her husband to a widowed mother to an entrepreneur.

Bajaria has brought global hits like 'Nailed It!', 'Queer Eye', 'Elite', 'Dark' and Indian hits like 'Sacred Games' to Netflix, which has rendered her to be the ideal person to build international relations, bringing the world stories, irrespective of the language.

Prior to Netflix, Bajaria has created wonders for Universal Television with hits like 'Master of None' & 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' for Netflix, 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' for Fox, 'The Mindy Project' for Fox and Hulu, among several others.

Her aggressive work has brought her many recognitions: The March of Dimes honoured her with the Woman of the Year Award, while I Have a Dream Foundation (LA) awarded the Dream Keeper Award.

Bajaria represents the new age of Indian Americans taking lead positions in the USA. Well, she has been Miss India USA, Miss LA India and Miss India Worldwide too; however, there weren't too many Indians, more so Indian women, in the entertainment industry. She thus started becoming the star and favourite among Indian diaspora. When Bajaria started with Universal television, people often asked her if she'll be able to do it, being an Indian girl. As many questions were thrown at her, she accepted each one of it as a challenge and took it head-on.

At a time when immigrant families considered law, medical, engineering to be the safest options, Bajaria's parents emboldened their children to choose their way on their own without any pressures. Back then, Bajaria was no movie buff, but knew she would work her way into entertainment industry. She has earlier worked with CBS, NBC Universal to establish the ravishing Universal Television. When she bagged the beauty titles, to do something worthwhile with it, she started an NGO for handicapped children in third-world countries.

Beyond all this, she is dedicated mother of three. Doesn't she complete the ideal definition of WOMAN!
